Janie is an intrepid double bass player dedicated to the uniting and connective magic of live performance. In her debut album, she fosters that same aliveness, while moving through a crystallization of the profundity of grief.  With influences ranging from her donkeys, the balkans, psychedelics, Brazil, drum and bass music, spiritual jazz, she utilizes foot pedals to expand the roles and range of the bass. Janie brings the listener on an eclectic dreamlike journey through an emotional reflection of life and death.
